Speedy Spicy Tex-Mex Style Ground Beef Tacos
with Lime-Kissed Slaw, Sour Cream & Salsa Verde
Trendy tacos have been done so many ways that sometimes it’s nice to keep it oh-so simple and ever-so fast. That means ground beef stirred up on the stovetop with a fun seasoning mix (our classic Mexican Moments blend features chili powder, coriander and cumin). Load each flour tortilla with sour cream, freshly chopped tomatoes, a quick lime-dressed cabbage slaw and a dash of hot salsa verde. Ready in 10 minutos!

- 150g Shredded cabbage
- 1 Shallot (or onion)
- 1 Lime
- 2 Tomatoes
- 45ml Salsa verde
- 86ml Sour cream
- 6 Wheat flour tortillas
- 11g Mexican Moments spices (salt, chili powder, garlic, sugar, paprika, coriander seeds, black pepper, cumin, onion, oregano, lime oil)

Preparation

Cook the beef
Halve, peel and medium-dice the shallot. In a medium pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high. Add the beef* and shallot; season with the spices and S&P. Cook, breaking up the meat, 4 to 6 min., until cooked through.

Mise en place
Meanwhile, small-dice the tomatoes; season with S&P. Zest and juice the lime.

Make the slaw
In a medium bowl, combine the cabbage, lime zest and juice, salsa verde, a drizzle of oil and S&P.

Warm the tortillas
Wrap the tortillas in a slightly dampened paper towel. On a plate, microwave, in 10 sec. increments, until warm.

Plate your dish
Divide the tortillas between your plates. Spread with the sour cream. Top with the beef, slaw and tomatoes. Bon appétit!
