Speedy Spicy Steak Tacos
with Chipotle Mayo & Crunchy Lettuce
The freidora de aire, as its known in Mexico, sizzles this taco filling with minimal oil or cleanup. It works magic on thinly sliced beef and poblano pepper, set off by lime-spritzed lettuce and the most delectable honey-chipotle mayo for sweet, smoky creaminess.

- 2 Top sirloin beef medallions
- 1 Poblano pepper (or green pepper)
- 1 Head of lettuce
- 1g Ground chipotle pepper
- 7g Honey
- 60ml Mayonnaise
- 6 Wheat flour tortillas
- 5.5g Mexican Moments spices (chili powder, sugar, garlic, paprika, tapioca starch, coriander seeds, salt, black pepper, cumin, onion, oregano, citric acid, cellulose, lime oil)
- 15ml Lime juice

Preparation
Fry the tortillas
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Working in batches if necessary, stack and wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil.
- Place the tortillas in the air fryer and fry, 4 to 6 min., until warm.
- Keep wrapped until ready to serve.
Dress the lettuce
- Meanwhile, halve the lettuce lengthwise; thinly slice crosswise.
- In a large bowl, whisk the lime juice, a drizzle of oil and S&P.
- Add the lettuce; toss well.
Fry the steaks & poblano
- Pat the steaks dry; very thinly slice into strips.
- Halve and core the poblano lengthwise; thinly slice crosswise.
- In a medium bowl, combine the steaks*, poblano, a drizzle of oil, the spices and S&P.
- Place in the air fryer and fry, 3 to 5 min., until browned and cooked as desired.
- Transfer to a plate.
Make the chipotle mayo
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mayo, honey, ground chipotle pepper and ½ tbsp water (double for 4 portions).
Plate your dish
- Divide the tortillas between your plates.
- Top with the steaks, poblano and lettuce.
- Drizzle with the chipotle mayo. Bon appétit!
