with Apple-Honey Dressed Salad
The creamy, cheesy bits, the salty, baconey bits… we’re firmly in the land of carbonara, except it’s coming as a pizza instead of a pasta—so we can munch down on mouth-warming deliciousness! A salad of curly leaf and cuke boasts a kid-friendly honeyed apple cider vinaigrette.

- 1 Head of curly leaf lettuce
- 1 Cucumber
- 28g Honey
- 30ml Apple cider vinegar
- 120g Grated mozzarella
- 100g Ricotta
- 30ml Heavy cream
- 1 Pizza dough
- 10g Garlic & Sweet Pepper spices (salt, garlic, sugar, red bell pepper, vinegar powder, yeast extract, green bell pepper, sunflower oil, paprika, silicon dioxide, turmeric, Cayenne pepper, citric acid)

Preparation
Mise en place
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Set the dough aside to come up to room temperature.
- Cut the bacon crosswise into ½ inch pieces.
Cook the bacon
- In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high.
- Add the bacon* and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 to 7 min., until lightly browned.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
Assemble the pizza
- On the back of a well-oiled sheet pan, stretch the dough out to a ½ inch thickness for a thick crust or ¼ inch for a thin crust.
- Drizzle with oil. Spread with the ricotta; season with the spices and S&P.
- Top with the mozzarella and bacon.
Bake the pizza
- Bake the pizza, 16 to 20 min., until the dough is golden brown.
- Transfer to a cutting board.
- Drizzle with the cream and cut into wedges.
Make the salad
- Meanwhile, separate the lettuce leaves; tear the leaves.
- Thinly slice the cucumber crosswise.
- In a large bowl, combine the honey, vinegar, 3 tbsp oil and S&P.
- Add the lettuce and cucumber; toss well.
Plate your dish
- Divide the pizza and salad between your plates. Bon appétit!
*Health Canada recommends cooking pork to a minimum internal temperature of 71°C.
