Preparation

Grill the chicken
- Heat the BBQ on high (or pan on medium-high), making sure to oil the grill first.
- Pat the chicken* dry; rub with the spices, a drizzle of oil and S&P.
- Add to the BBQ (or pan) and grill, occasionally brushing with the maple syrup, 6 to 8 min. per side, until cooked through.
- Transfer to a cutting board and let rest before slicing.

Mise en place
- Meanwhile, reserving 4 of the largest outer leaves, halve the lettuce leaves crosswise and roughly chop the rest.
- Halve, core and thinly slice the apples.

Make the salad
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, apples and vinaigrette.

Grill the buns
- Add the buns, cut-sides down, to the BBQ (or pan) and grill, 1 to 2 min., until warmed through.

Finish & serve
- In a small bowl, combine the mayo and S&P.
- Divide the bun bottoms between your plates.
- Top each bun bottom with the mayo, chicken, lettuce leaves and a bun top.
- Serve the salad on the side. Bon appétit!
