You saw a mouth-watering recipe on socials, you saved it on your phone but you never actually got all the ingredients to prepare it? We’re making this yummy internet hit happen IRL with cleverly layered skewers of tortilla and za’atar-spiced meat, alongside a lemon mayo dip.
We will send you:
- 2 Impossible™ beef burger patties (made from plants)
- 15ml Minced garlic
- 150g Shredded cabbage
- 1 Green pepper
- 7g Honey
- 60ml Mayonnaise
- 9g Za'atar
- 4 Wheat flour tortillas
- 4 Bamboo skewers
- 30ml Lemon juice

Preparation
Prepare the kebabs
- Place the skewers in a shallow bowl; cover with water.
- Halve, core and mince the green pepper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the beef, green pepper, garlic, za'atar and S&P.
- Place the tortillas on a dry work surface; cut off the edges to make squares.
- Spread each tortilla evenly with the beef mixture.
- Drain the skewers.
- Stack the tortillas and cut lengthwise into 4 strips; flip and stack the strips cut-side up and thread with the skewers. Cut lengthwise into 4 kebabs, leaving 1-inch free on the bottom.
Cook the kebabs
- In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high.
- Add the kebabs* and cook, 2 to 3 min. per side, until golden and cooked through.
Make the lemon mayo & slaw
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mayo, lemon juice, honey and S&P.
- In a second medium bowl, combine the cabbage, ½ the lemon mayo and S&P.
Plate your dish
- Divide the kebabs and slaw between your plates.
- Drizzle the kebabs with the remaining lemon mayo. Bon appétit!
