Preparation
Start the pizza
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Set the dough aside to come up to room temperature.
- Generously brush the bottom and sides of an 8- to 10-inch oven-safe pan (cast iron if possible) with oil (use 2 pans for 4 portions).
- Lightly brush a clean work surface with oil. Roll or spread the dough out to the size of your pan.
- Carefully transfer the dough to the pan; press into place.
- Drizzle with oil; season with ½ the spices and S&P.
- Bake, 7 to 9 min., until partially cooked.
Cook & coat the crumbled patties
- Meanwhile, crumble the patties.
- Mince the garlic.
- In a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium.
- Add the crumbled patties and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, 3 to 5 min., until beginning to brown.
- Add the tomato sauce, ½ cup water (double for 4 portions), the remaining spices and S&P.
- Cook, stirring often, 2 to 3 min., until the crumbled patties are coated.
Finish the pizza
- When the pizza is partially cooked, top with the crumbled patties and cheese.
- Drizzle with oil and season with black pepper.
- Bake, 13 to 15 min., until cooked through and the cheese is beginning to brown.
Make the salad
- Meanwhile, roughly chop the lettuce.
- Thinly slice the celery crosswise on an angle.
- In a large bowl, combine the vinegar, 3 tbsp oil (double for 4 portions) and S&P.
- Add the lettuce and celery; toss well.
Plate your dish
- Divide the pizza (cut into wedges) and salad between your plates. Bon appétit!
