Meatloaves, meet your makers! Individualized portions of this family favourite are just too cute to resist. Pre-prepped caramelized onions add sweet and savoury notes. Staying traditional, each plate comes with fluffy mashed potatoes, alongside broccoli and peas finished with a velvety touch of butter.

  • 400g Broccoli florets
  • 60g Panko
  • 150g Green peas
  • 15ml Whole-grain mustard
  • 50g Caramelized onions
  • 18g Zesty Herbs spices (garlic, dehydrated carrots, red bell pepper, onion, chives, salt, spices, mustard, sugar, sunflower oil, lemon oil)

Preparation

Prepare & roast the meatloaves

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.

  • Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil.

  • In a large bowl, combine the beef, panko, mustard, onions, ⅔ of the spices and S&P.

  • Form into 4 small loaves*.

  • Arrange on a lined sheet pan and roast, 15 to 18 min., until cooked through.

Boil the potatoes

  • Meanwhile, peel and medium-dice the potatoes.

  • Add to the pot of boiling water and boil, 14 to 16 min., until very tender.

  • Reserving 1 cup cooking water, drain and return to the pot.

Sauté the vegetables

  • Meanwhile, in a large pan, heat a drizzle of oil on medium-high.

  • Add the broccoli (halve if large) and sauté, 5 to 7 min., until beginning to brown.

  • Add the peas and 4 tbsp water. Sauté, 2 to 3 min., until the water has evaporated and the broccoli is tender.

  • Add 2 tbsp butter, the remaining spices and S&P; stir well.

Make the mash

  • To the pot of potatoes, add 2 tbsp butter.

  • Mash, gradually adding the reserved cooking water until you achieve your desired consistency; season with S&P.

Plate your dish

  • Divide the mash, vegetables and meatloaves between your plates. Bon appétit!
